Cracklins

img_0531

Try as I might, I couldn’t get the light in my kitchen bright enough to shoot this without the flash.  I set it to auto and here’s what the G10 came up with:

Flash: Used
Exposure time: 1/60s
Aperture: f/2.8
ISO: 250

That’s rendering pork fat in the frying pan, by the way.  I’m in the middle of making cracklins from the leftovers of a Pork Picnic.

  1. It’s okay to use the flash…. looks good, the picture and the cookings.

  2. Looks like time to clean the stove!

  3. though that IS a problem with the flash, it makes grease glisten!

  4. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm…… craaaaaaacklins…….

  5. Alright alright, I’ll clean the stove, and clearly I shouldn’t have gotten the back one. Unfortunately the cracklins weren’t so good a day later. Fresh out of the grease they were delicious though!
